On 21st March 2025, Carbon 10 Group had the privilege of attending the BRAInWAVE Innovation Workshop at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, hosted by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The event brought together NHS professionals, clinicians, innovators, and industry leaders to explore how medical technology can transition from ideas to impactful solutions for patients and the healthcare system.

Our Managing Director, Eamon van der Flier, represented Carbon 10 Group at this inspiring event. “It was exciting to be part of such a dynamic environment where innovation is not just discussed, but demonstrated,” Eamon said. “The passion and commitment to change for the better was evident in every session.”

From Ideas to Impact

The day featured an outstanding line-up of speakers and innovators, with thought-provoking presentations and live demonstrations of emerging technologies. Key highlights included:

  • Digital dermatology tools reducing the need for face-to-face appointments by 25%, shared by Alexandra Kemp. These technologies have the potential to significantly improve access to care while reducing pressure on outpatient services.
  • Rehabilitation and patient engagement innovations, led by Dr Oliver Runswick, showcasing how behavioural science and exercise can drive recovery outcomes.
  • Eye-tracking solutions from Sam Vine, illustrating how predictive analytics can be used to anticipate health outcomes and personalise treatment.
  • AI’s transformative role in healthcare, discussed by Umang Patel, focusing on unlocking the benefits of data-driven care across the NHS.

These innovations underline a shared ambition: to improve outcomes, reduce inefficiencies, and bring lasting benefits to patients.
